Besonderheiten - Particularities |
Sehr selten! |
Big and very rare Osmia pushbutton filler in really beautiful condition. From technical view near mint. The hard rubber parts are brownished. The beautiful pattern of the cap seems to be like new. The lower part of the barrel, which is usually covered by the cap, is one step darker. Overall is the barrel round about a half step darker than the cap. Usually are pens with this color very discolored up to a dark brown or green. So this is really a beautiful color with nice pattern. All celluloid parts are glossy without scratches, except minor signs of use at the barrel. No cracks or hairlines. Plating of clip and three cap bands almost near mint. The barrel is engraved clean and clear: "OSMIA EXTRA - SUPRA LUX - Ges. Gesch." I have tried to show the engraving on the lower image by using chalk. The cap top has inlaid the known Osmia sign. Length open with cap on: 16.1 cm The influence of Parker is very clear in this case. The shape is similar to the Parker Duofold Lucky Curves from 1928 (see Lambrou p. 69), but the size and the three cap bands are identical with the Streamline Duofold Seniors from 1929 (see Lambrou, p. 71, nos. 1, 8 + 9). This pen is, beside the minor discolorations, in stunning
beautiful and almost perfect condition. Has got a new ink sack and is full working. Very rare! |
