Großer, schwerer Conklin Toledo Drehbleistift, black and pearl. Drehknopf und Griffstück vergoldet.

Ich bin kein Drehbleistift-Experte und schon gar nicht für Conklins. Vermutlich handelt es sich hierbei aber um einen Stift aus der Endura-Zeit von etwa Mitte bis Ende der 20er Jahre. Einen vergleichbaren Bleistift mit diesem vergoldeten Drehknopf habe ich in der infrage kommenden Literatur nicht gefunden.

Er ist in sehr schöner Erhaltung, praktisch nicht verfärbt. Keine tiefen Kratzer, nur normale, übliche Gebrauchsspuren. Vergoldung weitgehend in Ordnung. Nur am unteren Ende des Feder-Clips und an den Kanten des Drehknopfes etwas Abrieb. Hierin auch 2 Dellen im sonst flachen Drehknopf.

Der schwere Stift ist hochwertig verarbeitet und funktioniert einwandfrei. Er vermittelt sofort ein Gefühl von Wertigkeit.

Sicherlich ein sehr interessantes Stück für Bleistift-Sammler. Die vor 1938, noch in Toledo/Ohio, produzierten Schreibgeräte gehören mit zu den gesuchtesten Sammlerstücken überhaupt.

I am not a pencil expert, even less for Conklin pencils. I estimate this a pencil from the Endura period, mid until end of 20s. I was unable to find this model with goldfilled turning knob in any of my pen books.

It is in beautiful condition, practical no discoloration. No deep scratches, only normal and usual signs of use. Plating almost good. Only at lower end of the clip and at the edge of the turnink knob little brassing. Herein also 2 dings in the flat top

The heavy pen is of high craftmanship and full working. You have immediately the feeling of value.

A very interesting item for collectors of vintage pencils. All the Conklin writing instruments, produced before 1938 still in Tolede/Ohio, are some of the most wanted collecting items overall.
