Besonderheiten - Particularities Dieses Tischset stammt aus Italien. Es ist ein Pelikan 100N und wurde in Italien gefunden. Das passt sehr gut mit der aktuellen Information aus dem Pelikan Archiv zusammen: 1939 verkaufte Pelikan Hannover die Maschinen zur Verarbeitung von Hartgummi an Pelikan Italien. Man war in Hannover schon auf Kunststoff übergegangen. Passend dazu ist der 100N, obwohl schon mit dem neuen Logo im Nest der Kappe, noch in Teilen aus Hartgummi gefertigt.
Ungewöhnlich, und wohl nur in Italien so gefertigt, ist auch der walzgoldene Ring an der Mechanik. Der Glasständer ist fast perfekt, hat allerdings zwei sehr kleine Absplitterungen an zwei Ecken. Siehe das Bild von einer Ecke, der andere Schaden ist so klein, dass meine Kamera ihn nicht zu fassen bekommt.

Ebenso ungewöhnlich, und in Italien zu finden, ist der Schaft, bei dem die schwarze Binde glatt mit dem Tintenfenster abschliesst, nicht wie bei den Deutschen Schäften, wo die Binde eine Stufe an dieser Stelle bildet.

Tischsets von Pelikan 100 oder 100N sind extrem selten, in diesem Erhaltungszustand um so mehr. This deskset was found in Italy. It is a model 100N. The information of the Pelikan Archives (given these days) fits the Italian origins: In 1939, Pelikan Hanover sold the machines to work hardrubber to Pelikan Italy. In Hanover, they already worked with plastics. According to this, the hard rubber cap of the set shows the new nest, but still is made from hard rubber. Very unusual is the rolled gold band at the barrel´s end, which also seems to be made in Italy only.
The glass of the deskbase is near mint, no scratches or cracks, but shows two very little damages at two edges of the base (see picture of one, the other is so small, my camera does not catch it. ).
Unusual as well is the fact, that the black sleeve does not show the step at the inkwindow, as it is usually seen with German Pelikan pens. This is another feature, found with Italian Pelikans.

Desksets from Pelikan are extremely hard to find, and in this condition even harder.
