Besonderheiten - Particularities

Ein sehr seltenes Meisterstück 742, Schaft und Kappe vergoldet (Barley-Design). Alle Teile original.

Schaft, Griffstück und Feder sehr schön und einwandfrei. Keine Dellen, keine Gravuren, fehlerfreie Vergoldung.

SEHR SELTEN!

Very rare Masterpiece pistonfiller 742, rolled gold cap and barrel (Barley). All parts orginal.

Barrel, section and nib excellent and very beautiful. No dings, no name engraved, perfect gold plating.

The cap has a little ding (see picture), no name engraved. At two stripes beside the clip down to the cap lip was the plating off, inclusive pattern and some letters. This parts has been 24 carat electro replated. But there are still some diffferences in color (also visible at the pics). Furthermore here the Barley pattern is still missing and also some letter of the Montblanc inscription at the caplip. There is only readable:
"MON... ANC Meister.....". But that is not very remarkable.

It is overall a nice pen and still representative and valuable due to the rareness.

Just a hint for dealers and advanced collectors. The caps of the models 642 and 742 are identical. So it is possible to exchange with a 642 cap, because this model 742 is much more valuable as the Montblanc 642. Then it would be an original and beautiful 742, worth c.1000 Euro. But that is not necessary.

Full working and ready to write!

Overall lowered to 4 stars, due to the cap. Nevertheless still a valuable Montblanc.
